Inspired by the striped tents and pavilions used by English longbowmen during the Tudor period, Tent takes its cue from the woven striped cloth depicted in The Field of the Cloth of Gold, commemorating the meeting of Henry VIII and Francis I of France. The idea first came to Virginia while decorating a boy’s bedroom with a steeply pitched, beamed roof, where a simple stripe created the playful feeling of camping beneath a tent. Bold yet wonderfully versatile, Longbow complements many of the more decorative patterns within the collection. Printed to order, the stripe can be specified in bespoke colours to work beautifully within an individual scheme. Designed by: Virginia White
