Designed by graphic artist Alexandra Palmowski, Clea takes inspiration from the work of Post-Impressionist painter Henri Rousseau and his wonderfully imaginative depictions of the natural world. Its surreal forest scene brings together trees and foliage in a playful, dreamlike landscape, while vibrant graphic colours reflect Alexandra’s signature 1960s Pop-inspired style. The design was created for Virginia’s niece Clea, whose whimsical yet energetic character is captured in the spirit of the pattern.
