Ola

Ola was designed by Alexandra Palmowski, a graphic artist based in Manchester with a brilliant sense of 3D geometrics. I was attracted to Alexandra’s style which is reminiscent of the Op Art created by the British artist Bridget Riley (1931-), whose geometric patterns have a disorientating effect on the eye and produce movement in colour. Having spent many holidays in a fishing village in Cornwall, the names of the colour-ways get their inspiration from seaside sweet. The name Ola is the Polish version of Alexandra.
