Klismos Leather Dining Chair in Ebony

Based on the ancient Greek Klismos designs dating back to the 5th century BC and frequently depicted on Greek pottery.

Characterised by its curved backrest and distinctive outward-tapering legs, the chair features a traditionally strapped leather seat. Comfortable in its own right, it can also be used with a seat cushion.

Virginia first encountered the Klismos form at Villa Kérylos in Cap Ferrat, the remarkable Greek Revival villa created by archaeologist Théodore Reinach in the early 20th century. Its elegant proportions and sculptural form became the inspiration for the Klismos collection.

Made in Britain using traditional craftsmanship and the finest materials.
