Klismos Day Bed

Based on the ancient Greek Klismos designs dating back to the 5th century BC and frequently depicted on Greek pottery.

Characterised by its curved backrest and distinctive outward-tapering legs, the day bed features a traditionally strapped leather seat with a generous feather and down cushion.

Virginia first encountered the Klismos form at Villa Kérylos in Cap Ferrat, the remarkable Greek Revival villa created by archaeologist Théodore Reinach in the early 20th century. Its elegant proportions and sculptural form became the inspiration for the Klismos Day Bed.

Made in Britain using traditional craftsmanship and the finest materials.
