Iona was designed by the brilliant artist Alexander Hamilton, who trained in Italy and specialises in large scale mural design. Iona is based on an ancient Celtic design of woven and platted borders as found in the book of Kells, which was first brought to Britain from the little and mystical island of Iona on the West Coast of Scotland. This island is so special and beautiful that we called our first daughter by its name.
