Based on the Greek Klismos designs created during the C5th BC which were often depicted on pottery.
Characteristic for the curved back rest and tapering out curved legs.
The leather strapped seat is made as an authentic Klismos chair and is extremely comfortable and can be used as such or with a top cushion.
I first came across the Klismos designs as a group and fell in love with the design at the wonderful Villa Kerylos in Cap Ferrat, a revivalist villa created by the German archaeologist Theodore Reinachin the early 1900s.
All our furniture is made in our London workshop using the finest and traditional craftsmanship available.
